Fashion trends we love this season from LFW

With London Fashion Week wrapping up and Haute Couture in Paris already underway, here’s our round up of the top trends we’ve fallen in love with this spring from the runway and how you can re-create them at home with Amrika...

Magenta madness

From Harriss Read to Nensi, London’s upcoming designers seemed to spotlight one hero colour this season; Pink. Think fuschia footwear and bubblegum blazers all cropping up on the catwalks, some bold or inspirational, others neutrally noted.

Whilst it may also be our signature brand palette, we’re totally here for this hue and think this Amrika approved power suit is just one look from our curated collections that totally embraces this vibe...

The Blazer’s Back

This business formal signature look has re-birthed on the runway, becoming a must-have for any confident fashionista seeking to capture that ‘I’m the boss' vibe. This year bigger is also always better, as designers like Erdem embraced gender fluidity, whilst still showing callbacks to the 20s and 70s.

In-fact, oversized tailoring in general is perhaps one of the biggest takeaways from this season and we can’t get enough of these sharp shoulders and statement shapes, whether full length or creatively cut! Talking about statement sets, check out this stunning red embroidered suit set from Archana Rao which features an amazing hand-embroidered jacket and would be great for summer.

A zero-waste focus

With more designers than ever emphasising their sustainable efforts, we really hope this isn’t just a trend but an everlasting revolution. As featured in Vogue, Richard Malone was amongst the amazing upcoming designers this season at LFW, who with the help of Mulberry and LVMH created a collection from deadstock fabrics, archive leather and his signature multi-circle ruched detailing, as well as pieces that can only be accurately described as wearable art.

We’ve recently talked about our eco-friendly values as a brand ourselves on Instagram and look forward to working with designers who continue to embrace these methods, whilst upholding the same high quality standards our customers love and respect.
